about me

John was born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in the deep South, so naturally, he lives and works in New York City.

His editing career had humble beginnings. After brief stints cutting paper at Kinko’s and sandwiches at Subway, he went on to cut commercials, documentaries, and feature films. He’s edited commercial campaigns for clients such as ESPN, Verizon Wireless, New Era, Comcast, and Macy’s. He’s also cut numerous award-winning documentaries including Muskrat Lovely, seen on PBS’ Independent Lens, Zipper: Coney Island’s Last Wild Ride, and most recently, Pickle.

John has also produced two children (along with his wife.) He didn’t cut the cord on the first one but did on the second, when the timing was just right.
